The styles of yoga we teach are Vinyasa, Hatha, and Restorative.
WHAT IS VINYASA YOGA?
It is an active form of Yoga that improves streng, flexibility and stamina. Vinyasa Yoga is also known as Power Yoga in the United States.
WHAT IS HATHA YOGA?
Hatha Class is slower than Vinyasa where the poses are held longer with the purpose of strenghthing and stretching the deeper layered muscles.
WHAT IS RESTORATIVE YOGA?
Restorative yoga class includes poses that open the body passively. Props are being used to enhance the work of gravity. This kind of practice is deeply relaxing.

I'M NOT RELIGIOUS. CAN I STILL PRACTICE YOGA?
Your Religion or belief doesn’t matter when it comes to your Yoga practice. Yoga in its ancient tradition is a part of the Hindi belief but the physical practice –the way we teach it- has nothing to do with any religion. So, doesn’t matter what religion or not religion you follow, you can benefit from a Yoga practice.
CAN MEN PRACTICE YOGA?
Absoulutley! Yoga was not designed for a specific gender, class or age of people. Every one can benfit from a Yoga practice. If you trace back the tradition of Yoga, you will find that the great teachers of Yoga were mainly men.
CAN YOGA IMPROVE MY SEX LIFE?
Yoga can improve your sex life on two levels: physical and mental. Yoga counteracts stress, fatigue, and poor self-image, all of which can suppress your libido. You'll also benefit from increasing your physical fitness like strength, flexibility and muscle control.
DO I NEED TO BE FLEXIBLE TO DO YOGA?
No, you don’t have to be flexible to practice Yoga. In fact if you are not very flexible, you can get flexible with a regular Yoga practice.
WHERE DO YOU TEACH YOGA?
The Yoga sessions can be held in the convenience of your home or your office.
If both options don’t work for you, we can rent a space in Manhattan for the sessions. We will travel to Brooklny and Queens.
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
Our SmartSessions are sold in in packages. You can choose to take as little as 3 one hour classes ($240) to see if yoga is right for you. Or you can get a package with as much as 10 ($800) classes to help you achieve your goal.

HOW IS YOUR SESSIONS STRUCTURED?
The sessions will be tailored to the individual’s needs and goals. The sessions will be very individualized. A session can include meditation, breath exercises ( these can also be left out); a warm-up part to prepare the body for the actual Yoga poses; a series of standing poses etc. Every session may have a different focus each time.
HOW CAN YOGA HELP ME DEAL WITH STRESS?
Yoga combines many popular stress-reducing techniques such as exercise and learning to control the breath, clear the mind, and relax the body. Doing yoga regularly is proven to reduce stress and will give you more energy.
I'M PREGNANT, CAN I STILL PRACTICE YOGA?
Yoga can help you adjust to the physical changes your body is undergoing, but it should be undertaken with care. You should consult with you doctor before beginning a Yoga practice.

CAN YOGA HELP ME LOSE WEIGHT?
Yoga can contribute to weigh loss, if you cut your calories and add several Yoga classes a week The field of weight loss is complex. Taking a fast paced Yoga class three times a week will surely help you to reach your goal in loosing some pounds.In order to lose weight, you must eat healthy and burn calories by doing exercise that raises your heart rate on a regular basis.
Some types of yoga, but will not give you the cardiovascular workout you need to lose weight. If you plan to make yoga your primary form of exercise, you must do a vigorous 90-minute yoga class at least three times a week. Many people also choose to combine yoga with running, walking or other aerobic exercise in order to reach their weight loss goals.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PRACTICING YOGA AND OTHER FITNESS REGIMENS?
It depends very much on the type of physical exercise. The difference in a general sense is: a regular Yoga practice develop inner awareness; Yoga poses are done slowly with relaxation and awareness which encourages co-ordination between the body systems and the mind.
I ALREADY HAVE A FITNESS PROGRAM. WHAT CAN YOGA OFFER ME?
You can easily combine your fitness program with Yoga. If you already have a strenght and cardio workout, Yoga could improve your flexibility. Increased flexibilty and strenght can help prevent causes of some types of back pain. Better breathing is another aspect for a healthy well- beiing. Most of us breathe very shallowly into the lungs. Yogic breathing exercises teach us how to better use our lungs, which benefits the entire body. Stress reduction and body awareness are also the benefits that you gain through a yoga pratice which will could complement your fitness program.
CAN I PRACTICE YOGA WITH MY KIDS?
Yoga is a great way to spend quality time with your kids. Children (ages 5 and up) learn very quickly Yoga poses. In fact you can learn so many new things – about your little ones and about yourself- in a Yoga practice.

Our sepecialty is: working with individuals in a one to one session as opposesd to a Yoga class; focusing on their special needs and goals.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PRACTICE YOGA?
There is no rule on how often you should practice Yoga. It depends on the individual and their goals. Some people are fine with twice a week at the beginning; others do more or less. It is more important that you do it on regular base in a long run.
DO YOU ADJUST YOUR STUDENTS?
Adjustments are a main part of a private yoga session. Gently adjustments will be done to correct the alignment or to deepen the pose.
